Trouble enrolling on 2/13, 14, or 15?

The deadline for 2015 coverage in the Health Insurance Marketplace at HealthCare.gov ended last night. Or did it?

If you ran into difficulties completing your enrollment before the deadline — due to longer than tolerable hold times at 1-800-318-2596; you got locked out of your account; or your income could not be verified by the system — you may be eligible for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP). Your SEP starts February 16, 2015, and ends February 22, 2015.

Enrollments completed during the SEP will still be effective March 1, 2015, to align with the coverage effective date you would have received had you been able to complete the enrollment process by February 15, 2015.

Consumers eligible for this SEP are those currently without coverage through the federal Marketplace, who have not been terminated from coverage purchased through the federal Marketplace in 2015, and who attest that they tried to enroll by the original February 15 deadline.

If you would like in-person assistance completing your application, there are certified enrollment assisters around the state who can help you.
